Editor's note--Ord. No. NS-300.263, §§ 1, 2, adopted Oct. 3, 1978, specifically amended the Code by repealing former Div. A19, §§ A19-1--A19-7, and enacting in lieu thereof new Div. A19, § A19-1, as herein set out. Former Div. A19, which pertained to the same subject matter, had been derived from Code 1954, §§ 3.4.1-1--3.4.1-6; Ord. No. NS-305.1, § 1, 4-9-56; Ord. No. NS-300.127, § 2, 10-28-68; and Ord. No. NS-300.236, § 1, adopted Dec. 21, 1976.

Sec. 3 of Ord. No. NS-300.263 provided that this division shall be operative on January 31, 1979, unless legislation for a pilot court unification project in Santa Clara County is introduced prior to that date. If such legislation is introduced prior to January 31, 1979, this division shall be operative on July 1, 1979.

Sec. A19-1. County-wide district established.

There is established in the County of Santa Clara a single County-wide judicial district known as the Santa Clara County Judicial District, whose boundaries are coterminous with the boundaries of the County of Santa Clara.
