Sec. A23-57. Powers and duties of Director of Department of Community Services.

The Director of the Department of Community Services shall have the power to receive and investigate complaints relating to the sale of products or services to consumers caused by fraud, deception or misrepresentation; to report violations of law to the District Attorney; and to assist the District Attorney in the investigation of such violations of law. The aforesaid power to initiate investigation of unfair dealings shall not extend to those persons or firms whose activities require licensing by an agency or commission of the State.
