Maddie’s Fund Grant
The Santa Clara County Division of Animal Care & Control is pleased to announce the receipt of a grant in the amount of $20,000.00 made possible by Maddie’s Fund, www.maddiesfund.org. In consideration of this grant, the County is required to report its annual animal shelter statistics for each of the calendar years 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010. In addition, the County will publish its completed Animal Statistics Table for calendar year 2008 on the County website for a period of no less than one year.
The Animal Statistics Table below reflects calendar year 2008. Prior to receiving this Grant, the shelter did not use the reporting values that are now being used, so estimates were used to report some intake and outcome types. It is our expectation that future statistics will be more accurate due to improved software data gathering. The collection and publication of this data is sponsored by Maddie’s Fund, www.maddiesfund.org.
