2. How often is the site updated?
3. How can I find out who owns a particular property?
4. What if I get no results?
5. What do I do if I have questions?
6. How do I find out how much my property taxes are?
1. What is the difference between "Current" Roll Year information and "2004 Roll Year" information?
"2004" Roll year information includes all Assessment information as of the lien date, January 1, 2004 as is made available to the public, in accordance with the law, on July1. "Current" Information includes changes in address after January 1, 2004. All other changes, such as changes in assessed value, that occurred after January 1, 2004, will not be available until the Roll closes on July 1, 2005
2. How often is the site updated?
The site is updated weekly from the Assessor's computer system.
3. How can I find out who owns a particular property?
California Government Code 6254.21 states that "No state or local agency shall post the home address or telephone number of any elected or appointed official on the Internet without first obtaining the written permission of that individual." As the cost to collect and continuously update that information is prohibitive, the On-Line Property Assessment Information System does not display the ownership information. However, ownership information is currently available either from microfiche or a public terminal at the Assessor's Office located at 70 West Hedding Street, San Jose, East Wing 5th Floor, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. through 4:00 p.m.
4. What if I get no results
Review our search tips (at the bottom of the search page) carefully for common data entry errors.  If that does not work, please visit our Offices located at 70 West Hedding Street, San Jose, East Wing 5th Floor, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. through 4:00 P.M.
5. What do I do if I have questions?

6. How do I find out how much my property taxes are?
