  The Assessor’s Annual Report provides a snapshot of a portion of the region’s economy and details the assessment roll for Santa Clara County as of January 1, 2003, the lien (valuation) date. In addition, this year we are providing a special focus on Proposition 13 which, when enacted 25 years ago, had an enormous impact on local government and public education in California. On August 8, 2003, after the Annual Report was printed, minor errors in data (page 3, 22 and 23) were discovered and a revised electronic version of the Annual Report was produced.
