Overview

In April 2009, the County filed an amicus brief in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals challenging a lower court decision that effectively reduced the amount of time the County and other localities would have to challenge certain Environmental Protection Agency pesticide re-registration decisions. The California State Association of Counties later joined the County’s amicus brief. The parties argued the appeal to the Ninth Circuit in August and are awaiting the panel’s decision.
