History has proven that over a period of time this office will receive unidentified baby or adult remains.  Often times these incidents will receive media attention and individuals in the community will express a desire to assist in some manner with a proper burial for those individuals.

This office has established the means for individuals in the community to make a monetary donation toward the burial of such unidentified individuals.  Such donations can be directed to a specific burial or for the burial of any unidentified individual.

The amount of the donation is left to the individual donor.  Any amount can assist with a cremation burial or a mortuary can be contacted with specific details and costs of a burial.

A tax deductible donation can be made by submitting a check to the Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office made out to the County of Santa Clara, with any specific instructions for it’s use attached.
