Only a non-welfare custodial person (a parent or legal guardian whose case has no open welfare accounts) can request that a case be closed. If welfare arrears are due, the case will remain open and the Department of Child Support Services will collect the arrears.

If your case does not involve welfare arrears, write a letter to the DCSS requesting that the case be closed.
