The purpose of this requirement is to provide guidelines for setting, tracking, extending and expiring Fire Code permits issued by the Fire Marshal. (This will not affect n on-construction-related permits, such as tents, canopies, Special Events or Fireworks displays.)

The County Fire Marshal's Office reviews projects submitted to the County Planning Office to determine what conditions must be met for fire protection water supply and fire department access to the site.
The County Fire Marshal’s Office issues Fire Code Permits for tents, fairs, festivals, fireworks & special effects, haunted houses, and other special events held in the unincorporated areas of the County.
This office conducts inspections of facilities regulated by the State Departments of Health Services, Social Services and Alcohol & Drug Programs upon request by the agency.
