The primary goal of Regional Basemap Enhancement Project is to produce a positionally accurate and relationally enhanced “basemap” for the COUNTY region.  To meet this goal, the project objectives include:

• Developing formal agreements between the County and external agencies for COUNTY GIS basemap sharing, co-funding basemap enhancement, and ongoing basemap maintenance coordination.
• Establishing the COUNTY’S Basemap License Agreement
• Incorporating basemaps (attribute and spatial data) from external agencies into one County-wide basemap to specifications and standards determined by the COUNTY.
• Developing a County-wide Street Centerline file with enhanced positioning and attribute content linked to a Master Address file for the COUNTY region.
• Basemap adjustment and enhancement, quality tested and assured, for areas not meeting County specifications.
