Departmental Layer Adjustment

The primary goal of the County Departmental Layer Adjustment project is to bring into alignment, with the enhanced basemap and the orthophotography, thirty County departmental digital GIS layers identified for adjustment by the departments.

The existing County GIS basemap is in the process of being adjusted to orthophotography to an accuracy of +/- 2 ft. in the urban areas and an accuracy of +/- 10 ft. in the rural areas. As a consequence, the departmental GIS layers will no longer align to the basemap and the orthophotography. The departmental layers support critical business functions. Through this project, everything feasible will be done to keep the thirty chosen departmental layers synchronized with County basemap and the orthophotography.
