A GIS repository with standards and specifications for the data is in the process of being established as the core infrastructure in the county-wide GIS program.  It must be deployed prior to production in Regional Basemap Enhancement. To date:

• An Enterprise GIS System Architecture Design and Description document has been drafted and will be reviewed by the CIO forum (CIO of County of Santa Clara, City of San Jose, and SCVWD).
• Additional Hardware/Software necessary for completely implementing the Production Envorinment of the the GIS Repository has been acquired. The Stand-by, Development, and Web Platform hardware, software and application specifications for procurement has commenced. This research is closely tied to the County's Security Plan study, the Cost Allocation Study and the Server Consolidation Project Study.
• An updated Countywide GIS Basemap data model is in place for the Basemap Enhancement. The Enterprise GIS has been working with City of San Jose to ensure the County-wide GIS data model will be compatible with City of San Jose's GIS data model.
