- Air Resources Board regulates sources of air pollution
- Department of Toxic Substances Control is responsible for regulating hazardous waste including cleanup of hazardous substances sites.
- Integrated Waste Management Board regulates the processing and disposal of solid waste, landfills, and develops recycling markets.
