HOME Program

The Home Investment Partnerships Program  ("HOME Program") is federally funded by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to provide decent affordable housing to lower income households in the Urban County. The County is a designated Participating Jurisdiction (PJ). HOME activities can include:  

  • Rehabilitation of ownership or rental housing
  • Aquisition
  • New Construction
  • First-time homebuyer opportunities in the Urban County

 

Other Information:

  • The 2010/2011 Budget is approximately $873,000
  • Area Served: Urban County-including the Cities of Campbell, Los Altos, Los Altos Hill, Los Gatos, Monte Sereno, Morgan Hill, Saratoga, and the Unincorporated Areas of the County of the Santa Clara.
  • Eligibility: Households must be within the income limits for the County of Santa Clara. These limits are revised periodically. Click Here for 2009 HOME income limits.
  • Priority: At least 15% of the funds must be awarded to a Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO)
