The Santa Clara County Office of Emergency Services is responsible for coordinating organized planning efforts with County departments, local cities and special districts to mitigate against, prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters. It is responsible for maintaining the County and Operational Area Emergency Operations Centers in a continual state of readiness and for designing, conducting, and evaluating periodic emergency staff training and simulated disaster preparedness and response exercises.
