Please see the attachment list for a flyer in the different languages below.  Select the language of your choice.

Santa Clara County’s Citizenship Day

Every year the Santa Clara County Citizenship Collaborative sponsors a citizenship day event.  Citizenship Day is a countywide event where the Santa Clara County Citizenship Collaborative invites immigrants to learn about US citizenship, receive free assistance, and get an overview of the citizenship process. This event has been recognized as nationwide best practice in working with immigrant communities and helping them access citizenship information and services.    These orientations take place in 14 languages at different times.

At this event, participants of Citizenship Day will receive a free orientation on how to become a U.S. citizen, including: requirements, concerns and benefits of becoming a U.S. Citizen.   A “free initial legal consultation” regarding the citizenship process will be provided when needed.  Participants will also receive an appointment for a later date to receive the following services, free of charge:

  • Assessment of eligibility for U.S. citizenship
  • Completion and delivery of citizenship application to Immigration (USCIS)
  • Referrals to ESL and citizenship classes
  • Copy of the 100 citizenship questions and answers
