Healthy Trails to You…It’s Not Too Late to Start That New Year’s Resolution
Have you been procrastinating about that new exercise program? Want to do something that’s FREE and fun for the whole family?  Not sure what to do? Healthy Trails can help – it’s a fitness challenge for everyone and you don’t have to be in good shape to start. Start by going to Quick Clicks and find “Healthy Trails ”. From there, you’ll find all the details.

Want to walk with others? Healthy Trails will have a fun hike & bike on Sunday May 18th along the Coyote Creek Trail. Here are the details: 
When: Sunday May 18, 11am-2:00 pm
Where: Meet at Hellyer County Park - Buena Vista Picnic Pavilion
Who: You, your family, your friends, neighbors, invite them all!
FREE to all participants: water, snacks, and prizes.  Co-sponsored by Kaiser Permanente San Jose and Santa Clara County Public Health.

Festival in the Park   - June 22nd 11am – 4pm at Hellyer County Park
Don’t miss out on this free, fun-filled, family-oriented day! Get informed, educated, and inspired to take charge of your health, eat and cook nutritiously, and get physically fit. A multitude of agencies and organizations will showcase information and opportunities for interactive play. Visit this year’s Kid’s Olympic Village and Teddy Bear Clinic; take part in a Fruits and Veggies Fun Walk, view outdoor activity demonstrations, and much more. FREE admission, information, health and recreation opportunities, food, entertainment, and fun!

What’s Happening at Parks this Spring

Jr. Ranger Program – Ready for Spring Signups
Know any kids between ages 9-11? Jr. Rangers is an exciting outdoors afternoon adventure where kids learn about   wildlife by exploring some of our local parks. Participants receive t-shirts, logbooks, water bottles and other materials – everything’s FREE! Hurry to register – only the first 20 kids for each participating park will be eligible. Go to Jr. Rangers to learn more and register or call (408) 846-5632.
