	Annual Passes

Annual Venture Passes can be purchased for both vehicle and vessel.
Annual Vehicle Passes cover all vehicle entrance fees at all Santa Clara County Parks, excluding Sunnyvale Baylands Park.
Annual Vessel Passes cover all entry fees for power and non-power boating vessels at all Santa Clara County Parks which allow boating.
Annual Passes are valid for one year from date of purchase.
Annual Passes for vehicles are $80 and Annual passes for vessels are $65 each.

You may obtain an Annual Venture Pass in several ways:

By phone: Please call our reservations office at (408) 355-2201, Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Have your Visa or Mastercard ready.
At the park: You may purchase a pass at any staffed entrance station, or you may use the automated ticket vending machine found at most entrances or parking lots. The machines take cash or credit cards (Visa or Mastercard). They dispense a receipt that you mail into the Parks Administration Office, and we will exchange the receipt for a Venture Pass. Be sure to make a copy of your receipt and use this to display in your vehicle until your permanent pass arrives within one to two weeks.
In person: You may obtain an Annual Venture Pass at the Parks Administration Office located in Vasona Park at:

Online: Fill out an Annual Venture Pass Application (see attachment at bottom of page). The completed application along with check (made payable to SCC Parks) may be presented in person at the Department Administration Office or mailed to the Santa Clara County Parks Department, 298 Garden Hill Drive, Los Gatos, CA 95032-7669.
By mail: Call (408) 355-2200 and request an Annual Venture Pass application be mailed to you. Return the completed application to us along with check (made payable to SCC Parks) at the above address, and we will mail the pass to you within one to two weeks.

Santa Clara County Parks Department also offers Lifetime Senior Vehicle Passes.

Lifetime Senior vehicle passes are provided for a one-time fee of $65 to all persons 60 years and older.
Senior vehicle passes cover vehicle entrance fees only at all Santa Clara County Parks, excluding Sunnyvale Baylands Park. . The senior pass is NOT valid for lake use, camping, or reservation fees.
To obtain a pass, stop by the Reservations Office located in Vasona Lake County Park, or an entrance kiosk at any County Park. For information, contact any Park Ranger.

Military Annual Passes

In June 2007, the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors approved a new program making Annual Vehicle Entry Passes for parks operated by the Santa Clara County Parks and Recreation Department available to active or reserve members of the Armed Forces or California National Guard in pay grades E-4 or below and their families. Eligibility for the program is based upon:

1. Providing a Department of Defense Military Identification card identifying the applicant as either an active or reserve member of the Armed Forces or National Guard in pay grades E-4 or below; or provide a Dependant Identification Card of either an active or reserve member of the Armed Forces or a California National Guard in pay grades E-4 or below; and

2. Providing proof of residency within Santa Clara County

Because verification of eligibility status must be made, passes can only be obtained through the Parks Department Administration Office at 298 Garden Hill Drive, Los Gatos 95032. Annual Passes are valid every day of the year from 8:00 a.m. to sunset at all County Parks and are not applicable towards lake use, boating reservations, special park events, camping or other park use fees. There is a one-time administrative fee of $4.00 for the Annual Pass. Each family may receive one pass per year, any additional passes may be purchased at the regular price.

Annual Passes are valid for one year from the date of purchase. Replacements for lost, stolen or damaged passes are made upon re-application and will cost $4.00. Worn passes may be exchanged at no charge.

Disabled Pass Program

The Disabled Pass provides free vehicle entry to County Parks and a 50% discount, Monday through Thursday, applied to camping fees at any County Park (holidays excluded). The procedures below define the eligibility requirements and describe the process for applying for and issuing the Disabled Pass, and use of the pass.

Eligibility

For purposes of this program, a disabled person is defined as anyone who:
1. has a physical or mental impairment which substantially limits one or more of such person’s major life activities;
2. has a current record of such impairment.
To be eligible for a Disabled Pass, the applicant must possess at least one of the following disabilities:
1. Developmental – Persons who meet the legal definition of, or have been identified as developmentally disabled. This includes autism, cerebral palsy, mental retardation, etc.
2. Hearing – Persons who have total deafness or are unable to hear with the aid of an assistance device on the level that meets the standards of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI),
  as determined by an audiometer.
3. Mental – Persons who have any mental disorder on the level of severity that restricts activities of daily living, social functioning or concentration.
4. Physical – Persons who have any of the following physical disabilities:
  1. Mobility – Orthopedic impairments, amputations, or functional
    limitations where there is loss of significant impairment of one or both upper extremities; or loss or significant impairment of one or both lower extremities; or impairment of the trunk, back or spine that is a medically diagnosed disability which substantially limits one or more major life activities, impairs or interferes with mobility, or requires the aid of an assistance device for mobility.
  2. Cardiovascular – Severe cardiac impairment resulting from one of the following five consequences of heart disease: congestive heart disorder, ischemia with or without necrosis or heart muscle, conduction disturbances and/or arrhythmias resulting in cardiac syncope, chronic venous insufficiency or peripheral arterial disease with intermittent claudication.
  3. Respiratory – Lung disease to such an extent that forced expiration volume at one second, when measured by spirometry, is less than one liter, or arterial oxygen tension (PO2) is less than 60mm/HG on room air at rest. Also, persons with episodic asthma, chronic bronchitis, etc.
  4. Neurological – Multiple sclerosis or other neurological disorders such as epilepsy and parkinsonian syndrome.
5. Speech – Persons who have a loss of speech from a glossectomy or laryngectomy, or from cicatricial laryngeal stenosis due to injury or infection that resulted in the loss of voice production by normal means.
6. Visual – Persons whose remaining vision in their better eye, after best correction is 20/200 or less as measured by the Snellen Test. Also, persons with a substantial limited visual field, by visual efficiency and homonymous hemianopsia, etc.

Application Process

To qualify, a person must possess one of the disabilities defined above.
Applicants must fill out a “Disabled Pass Application” (see link below) and the completed application may be presented in person at the Department Administration Office or mailed to the Santa Clara County Parks Department, 298 Garden Hill Drive, Los Gatos, CA 95032-7669.
Applicants must provide the Department with one of the types of disability certifications listed below:
1. California Department of Motor Vehicle (DMV) permanently disabled person parking placard identification card or DMV vehicle registration card with disabled person license number.
2. Social Security disability benefits eligibility verification (Supplemental Security Income Payment Decision, Social Security Award Certificate, or Medicare card).
3. Doctor’s certification.
If the person is applying for qualification by a doctor’s certification (see 2c above), the doctor must complete Section III of the “Disabled Pass Application”.
All information requested on the “Disabled Pass Application” is mandatory.
If the applicant does not provide any or all of the requested information on the “Disabled Pass Application”, the applicant will not be issued a Disabled Pass.

Pass Issuance

Once a completed “Disabled Pass Application” is received and reviewed by the Reservation Unit staff, they will issue the Disabled Pass.
If the completed and approved “Disabled Pass Application” is received by mail, the Disabled Pass will be mailed to the applicant.
If the completed and approved “Disabled Pass Application” is presented in person, the applicant will be issued the Disabled Pass.
If the “Disabled Pass Application” is incomplete in any form, the applicant will be notified and requested to provide a completed application.
All Disabled Pass will be sequentially numbered and the Reservation Unit staff will track all issuances of the pass.
“Disabled Pass Applications” will be kept on file for one (1) calendar year plus the prior calendar year.
There is a one-time fee of $4.00for the Disabled Pass payable at time of application. Checks can be made out to SCCPRD.
Replacement Disabled Passes will be issued through the reapplication process only.
Reservations Unit staff will be responsible for issuing and tracking the issuance of the Disabled Passes.
The information entered on the “Disabled Pass Application” is classified as “personal” under the Information Practices Act (Civil Code Section 1798) and County Counsel should be consulted before any disclosure is made.

Disabled Pass Use

The Disabled Pass entitles the bearer to vehicle entry at any County Park.
The Disabled Pass entitles the bearer to a 50% discount, Monday through Friday (holidays excluded), applied to camping fees at any County Park.
The Disabled Pass discount does not apply to camping fees for RV sites or camping reservation fees.
The Disabled Pass is non-transferable and may be revoked at any time for mis-use.
The Disabled Pass should be displayed on the bottom, driver’s side, inside corner of a vehicle’s windshield.
