The H1N1 flu vaccine is now available to the general public. If you have not received your vaccination yet, you should as soon as possible. Please contact your healthcare provider to see if they have the H1N1 vaccine.
The Public Health Department is offering free H1N1 vaccinations for anyone who does not have health insurance or for those whose medical providers do not have the vaccine. The clinic is located at 976 Lenzen Ave., Suite 1500, San Jose, 95126. The clinic is open Monday – Friday, 8:15 am – 11:30 am & 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm. Vaccinations are available on a walk-in basis only and appointments are no longer necessary. For more information please call 408-885-3980.
If children younger than 10 years of age received their first H1N1 flu vaccination at least three weeks ago, they now need to get their second booster vaccination to receive the best protection from the H1N1 flu virus. Children returning to the clinic for their second booster need to bring the blue card they were given when they received their first vaccination.
Retail pharmacies are also offering the vaccine. To find a retail provider near you (for the seasonal flu vaccine or H1N1 flu vaccine), enter your city & state or zip code in the Flu Vaccine Locator* below.
*Note: Some flu clinic locations may experience supply disruptions or may only be providing vaccines to specific priority populations like pregnant women or small children. The Santa Clara County Public Health Department urges all individuals to confirm clinic locations, hours, eligibility and availability. The Santa Clara County Public Health Department also urges members of the public to consult with their own healthcare providers about whether any vaccine is appropriate for them.
