Financial Literacy Project

Need help with your budget?  Confused over your Credit Report?

In her 2009 State of the County address, Supervisor Liz Kniss, President of the Board, committed to help our community improve their understanding of the finance world by increasing financial literacy and improving money management and budgeting skills.  To assist you in gaining access to education and information on these topics, we have provided links below that may provide interesting, helpful and useful financial information for adults, parents, teachers, teens, and kids.

In addition, many banks and credit unions, as well as financial planners, offer education series or seminars. The Santa Clara County Federal Credit Union (SCCFCU) already offers courses such as Financial Education 101, Solving the Mysteries of a Credit Report, and Building a Better Budget to its members.
