In line with SCCGov's guiding principle of "Connecting people to services" with its launch in November 22, 2002 that revolutionized the way government connected people to available services and information, the County's Life Events driven public portal has been completely redesigned and enhanced.

A few of the newly redesigned SCCGov public portal enhancements include:

• Enhanced searching capabilities with the implementation of a new natural language search engine so that you can ask questions like "How much is a marriage license"
• Enhanced functionality by adding helper buttons allowing visitors to:
  • Print a printer friendly version of the page
  • Increase or decrease the font size for better usability
  • Share content by forwarding a link to the article via email
• New A to Z cross-Agency services and programs listing
• Enhanced direct access to Board agenda’s and budget information with the “Connect With Your Elected Officials” section
• Provides additional functionality section Around the County which provides:
  • Local weather information.
  • Integration with County Roads & Airport Department for live webcam traffic feeds on county expressways.
