
The County area is located at the southern tip of the San Francisco Bay. With a population of 1,682,585, it is the fifth largest county in the state of California. The populace of the County is racially and ethnically diverse, and all peoples contribute to the economic success of the region.
There are five (5) Supervisorial Districts in the County of Santa Clara. The Supervisor for each district is duly elected by voters that reside within the boundaries of that specific district. Each elective term of service for County Supervisors is four years. The current Supervisors for each district are:

District 2: George Shirakawa
District 3: Dave Cortese
District 4: Ken Yeager
District 5: Liz Kniss
