The Equal Opportunity Division maintains a program for persons with disabilities. ADA, the American With Disabilities Act of 1990, and its implementation, is a major focus of the program. A reasonable accommodation process is offered to all County employees and applicants for employment with the County. Training for all supervisors and managers concerning reasonable accommodations for persons with physical or mental disabilities and understanding how to serve people with disabilities under the ADA and other state and federal statues is continuously conducted.
