Anesthesiologists at SCVMC have special expertise in pediatric, cardiovascular and obstetric anesthesia, as well as in the management of acute and chronic pain. Board certified anesthesiologists and Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists provide anesthesia care for over 10,000 procedures each year. The department is closely affiliated with the Stanford University Anesthesia Department and is actively involved in Stanford's anesthesia training program.
