The Department of Diagnostic Imaging at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center provides services in all radiological procedures: radiography and fluoroscopy, mammography, bone densitometry (DEXA), ultrasound, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), nuclear medicine, and interventional radiology.
Our state-of-the-art facility includes computed radiography (CR) units, digital fluoroscopy and digital angiography suites, highest-quality ultrasound machines, high-field MR scanners, 16- and 64- slice Multi-Detector Row CT (MDCT) scanners, and a mobile PET-CT.
In addition, the department is equipped with an advanced full PACS, rendering it a completely digital department with the exception of mammography. Currently, over 200,000 examinations are performed a year.
