The Trauma Center is certified by the American College of Surgeons as a Level One Trauma Center - the highest level of certification possible.

Speaker's Bureau
The Trauma Center also offers a Speaker's Bureau for other medical facilities. Trauma physicians and nurse educators address trauma care and services, including information about the initial evaluation of trauma patients, how to care for a trauma patient prior to transfer (including the transfer of burn patients and those with head and/or spinal cord injuries), and how to contact the Trauma Center to transfer a patient. If you are interested in scheduling a speaker, please call Santa Clara Valley Medical Center’s Trauma Services Administration at 408-885-5220.

The Bay Area Trauma Education Consortium was founded in 1986 and provides affordable, current, quality education for health professionals.  Their membership consists of Trauma Program Manager, Nursing Educators and Clinical Nurse Specialist from Trauma Centers throughout the Bay Area.  You can go to www.tecba.org for more information.
