Mother, infant and Nurse 

Each year our Labor & Delivery Department welcomes over 5,000 children into the world, making us the largest academic birth center in the state. Highly skilled physicians, residents and nurses staff the department. Working as a team, they are available to guide and assist you at all times. Their goal is to make your stay as calm and comfortable as possible.

During your delivery and recovery, you will stay in one of our private birthing rooms. These rooms include a bathroom, television and sleeper chair for your partner or labor coach. Each birthing room is equipped with a central fetal monitoring device that is viewed at the central nurses’ station.
