The Emergency Department and Trauma Center provide patients with the highest quality emergency care and services. Our Board Certified doctors have specialized training in emergency medicine, and they work with other specially trained staff, including registered nurses who are Advanced Cardiac Life (ACLS) and Trauma Nurse certified. Many of our nurses are certified Emergency Room Nurses (CEN). All physicians on staff are either Board Certified or Board Prepared in Emergency Medicine. A Trauma Team, consisting of a trauma surgeon, emergency physician and registered nurse are on-site to provide immediate treatment and care.

The staff members of the Emergency Department and Trauma Center work in collaborative multidisciplinary teams. There are 36 board certified emergency physicians, 17 physician assistants and nurse practitioners, and 100 emergency and trauma nurses. The team also includes emergency room technicians, certified respiratory therapy technologists, radiology technologists, interpreters, social workers, and volunteers. At any time, in-house medical staff in surgery, trauma, orthopedics, obstetrics/gynecology, pediatrics, burn care, and anesthesia services assist the team when needed.
