The West Valley Division is based at the Westside Sheriff's Sub-station, located in the community of Saratoga. Besides providing police services to the three contract cities, they also provide police services to the unincorporated areas of North/West Santa Clara County. The Division's responsibilities include providing patrol and traffic functions, Special Enforcement Details, Investigative Services. The unincorporated Santa Cruz Mountain communities of Redwood Estates, Aldercroft Heights, Holy City, and Chemeketa Park, and the former Moffett Field Naval Air Station are also patrolled from this station. The security is provided by deputy sheriffs supplemented with special enforcement teams of deputies for graffiti suppression and rail right of way enforcement.
