Physical abuse of the elderly and dependent adults includes actual bodily injury due to force, as well as deprivation of food and/or water.

Financial abuse against the elderly is reportable.

Self neglect in the case of an elderly individual is also reportable as an instance of "abuse."

The removal from this state and the restraint from returning to this state of any elder or dependent adult who does not have the capacity to consent to removal.

The following activities are reportable as sexual abuse.

The desertion or willful forsaking of an elder or dependent adult by anyone having care or custody of that person under circumstances in which a reasonable person would continue to provide care and custody.
