Program information provided is meant to provide you with general guidelines for the different health insurance programs. If and when you decide to apply, your Eligibility Worker will explain in further detail what requirements specifically apply to your situation.
Medi-Cal offered by the Social Services Agency's Dept. of Employment and Benefit Services, provides free health care coverage for children under age 21 as long as other eligibility requirements are met.
Healthy Kids is a locally-funded insurance program for children up to 19 years of age who are not eligible for free (no share of cost) Medi-Cal or Healthy Families.
