The Provider Relations Department is the main liaison for all Valley Health Plan providers. The goal of the Provider Relations Department is to serve as a resource to all providers seeking information about network operations, credentialing, contracts interpretation and payment schedules.

The Provider Relations Department staff conducts group and individual training sessions targeting topics such as access to services, authorizations and referrals, claims and billing, member issues and legislative changes that may affect VHP providers.

The Provider Relations Department publishes a quarterly newsletter called "Provider Bulletin" to keep providers informed of any changes in plan policy and to announce upcoming events.

We believe that good communication with physicians and their staff is an essential part of improving overall provider satisfaction and services for our members. Providers are encouraged to contact the Provider Relations Department with outstanding issues relating to policies, procedures, unresolved claims and general inquiries as well as to file any type of complaint or grievance.
