Graffiti removal is the second-most important change for the San Tomas, Lawrence, Capitol, Almaden, and Oregon expressways.
Widening roads is the second-most important change for the Foothill, Central, and Montague expressways.
Single-driver usage of HOV lanes, elimination of HOV lanes, or expansion of HOV lanes are among the least important changes for all expressways.
More bike lanes is one of the least important changes for the San Tomas, Lawrence, Almaden, and Central expressways.
Key Findings
There is both high awareness and high usage of expressways in Santa Clara County.
Most respondents do not know who is responsible for maintaining the expressways in Santa Clara County.
Traffic is by far the biggest concern for respondents.
Any possible solutions to the problem of traffic are considered very important to respondents.
Expressways are convenient but congested.
While usage varies somewhat, there is consistency in the desired changes for all expressways.
