Sec. A6-61. Membership.

The Commission shall consist of 11 members. Two members shall be allocated to each supervisorial district at least one of whom shall be a resident of the district. Each of the individual Supervisors shall make the appointments for their respective supervisorial district. The eleventh member shall be an at large nomination appointed by an individual Supervisor on a rotational basis. The rotational sequence for making this one appointment shall be determined by the Board of Supervisors and thereafter shall continue as so designated. The term of each member shall be four years. No member shall be eligible to serve on such Commission for more than three consecutive terms in addition to any portion of any unexpired term which may have been served. A vacancy shall exist and shall be reported to the Board of Supervisors whenever a Commissioner fails to attend more than three consecutive regular meetings of the Commission without good cause entered on the minutes of the Commission; or when a member is unavailable or no longer able to participate for any reason. Persons appointed shall have previously demonstrated their interest and participation in matters relating to the historical and cultural heritage of Santa Clara County.
