Sec. A6-71. Membership.

The Commission shall consist of 15 members allocated equally among the five supervisorial districts and nominated and appointed in accordance with the current rules of the Board of Supervisors on file with the Clerk of the Board. In addition, a member of the Human Relations Commission, designated by that Commission, shall serve as a nonvoting member of the Commission on the Status of Women.

Each Commissioner shall have a term of three years and until his or her respective successor is appointed and qualified. Members shall serve staggered terms so that no more than five members' terms shall lapse in the same year. No member shall be eligible to serve on such Commission for more than three consecutive terms in addition to any portion of any unexpired term which may have been served. A vacancy shall exist and shall be reported to the Board of Supervisors whenever a Commissioner fails to attend more than three consecutive regular meetings of the commission without good cause entered into its minutes.
