Sec. A10-4. Executive Officer of the Superior Court.

Pursuant to general law, the majority of the judges of the Superior Court may appoint an Executive Officer of the Superior Court. He shall hold such office at the pleasure of the court. He shall exercise such administrative powers and perform such other duties as may be required of him by the court. The court shall fix the qualifications of the Executive Officer and may delegate to him any administrative powers and duties required to be exercised by the court. The Executive Officer shall act as secretary to the judges of the court and perform, or supervise the performance of, the duties of Jury Commissioner. The salary of the Executive Officer shall be fixed by the court and shall be paid by the court. The position of Executive Officer shall be exempt from civil service laws. Assistants, deputies and other employees of the Superior Court which are authorized pursuant to the provisions of general law are exempt from the merit system provisions of the Charter and this Code.
