__________

Sec. B7-4. Establishment of limits in which storage of liquefied petroleum gases is prohibited.

The limits referred to in Section 8204.2 of the Uniform Fire Code, in which storage of liquefied petroleum gas is restricted, are hereby established as follows:

Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) shall not be permitted within the County unincorporated areas where natural gas mains exist and are reasonably available.

Exception: LPG may be permitted if used for industrial operations or if used to carry on activities where natural gas would not provide a viable substitute for LPG. Portable containers for temporary heating or cooking uses may be permitted if properly stored and handled per this code. Installation of LPG facilities for the purpose of refueling portable or mobile containers may be approved by the Fire Marshal.
