Renee’s career with the Communications Department began 21 years ago on March 18, 1991 when she was first hired as a Communications Dispatcher I.  Working various shifts she was certified as a Communications Training Officer and Emergency Medical Dispatcher until she was promoted as a Senior Communications Dispatcher on May 13, 2002 and added EMD-Q to her certifications.   As a Senior Dispatcher operationally she has worked the midnight shift and day shift, which has provided her an understanding of the challenges encountered regardless of the hour.  Also as a Senior Dispatcher, Renee has worked in Support Services.  While in Support Services she was instrumental in the successful implementation of our CAD cutover to a windows-based system. She was also the project manager for our CPE 9-1-1 phone system replacement, and has been a principle liaison with our major customer agencies. Additionally, she understands the nuances of our geo system, the statewide 9-1-1 system as it relates to the Master Street Address Guide (MSAG), and the future of NGEN. Renee’s assignments within the Department have provided her a depth and breadth of knowledge which was recognized when she was selected for the Chief Communications Dispatcher position on January 24, 2011.
