FAQs on Ethics Training

​Please send a copy of your original proof of participation certificate, and include the name of your commission or agency, to the Clerk of the Board, 70 West Hedding, Tenth Floor, East Wing, San Jose, CA 95110. Attention: Ethics Training

Yes. Again, please make a copy for your files and send the original proof of participation certificate to the Clerk of the Board.

The County will attempt to provide an annual session every Fall, but this is not certain and you are urged to attend this session or take the course online if your training will expire soon.


The Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC) has Ethics Training consistent with the Attorney General Standards and the County will accept the original Proof of Participation certificate. There is no charge for this course. If you take the course online, please send the original to the Office of the Clerk of the Board at the address above.
