Hazardous Waste Management and HMBP Training

Santa Clara County Department of Environmental Health's Hazardous Materials Compliance Division (HMCD) provides free training.

Hazardous Waste Management Training is available for Small Quantity Generators (SQG) of hazardous waste. Some classes are generic, and others are industry-specific.Participants in the training are given reference documents to assist them in performing facility self-inspections. Eligibility - Facilities that generate less than 5 tons of hazardous waste per year (waste oil is not included in this total) may participate in this training provided that they have a current Hazardous Waste Generator Permit issued by one of the following agencies: Santa Clara County Department of Environmental Health (i.e., HMCD); the City of Gilroy; the City of Mountain View; the City of Santa Clara; or the City of Sunnyvale. Class Flyer

Hazardous Materials Business Plan (HMBP) Training is available for facilities required by State law to prepare and submit a HMBP. For information regarding HMBP reporting requirements, please click here.
