Taking a Mandatory e-learning Course

Guidelines for taking SHP for Managers, Supervisors & Leads or Driver Training web based courses:

Before you begin

• Watch our Demo to see how easy it is (Demo is in YouTube)
• Turn Off your pop-up blocker Before you launch an e-learning course in sccLearn, you will need to turn off your pop-up blocker. If you have added toolbars to your browser, you need to turn off the pop-up blockers in the toolbars also. 
• Headphones and Audio:  To listen to the course, you will need headphones. If you don’t have headphones, adjust the volume on your PC to a comfortable level for yourself and your office neighbors
• Print the appropriate guide for step by step instructions 
• SHP for Managers Web Based Course Instructions
• Driver Training Course Registration and Instructions
• Go to sccLearn
• Type sccLearn in your browser URL field or
• http://scclearn.sabanow.net/Saba/Web/Main
• Log in and take the course

Driver Training - in order to receive County Driver Authorization, employees must have all associated forms completed and on file in addition to successfully completing this course.  For more information, see County Vehicle Driver Policies.

Learners are responsible for obtaining prior manager/supervisor approval to participate in any specific e-learning course.  e-Learning participation must not be during work time that results in overtime compensation.

To successfully complete the course, you must:

1. Read/view every page.
2. Pass the test with a score of 80% or higher.
3. For SHP only -- spend a total of 2 hours taking the course.
4. On the progress and tests tab, check your score and look at the Status column.  All bubbles must be completely filled in, or it is incomplete.  If you find a partial filled bubble, go back to that section and view every page to get credit.  See example below:
