Technical Requirements:
Flash Player: In order to view the e-learning course, you need Flash Player version 8 or later.
Java: You will need Java 6 update 7 or later.
Your IT support person can install Flash and/or Java on your workstation, if you don't have it.
Turn Off your pop-up blocker Before you launch an e-learning course in sccLearn, you will need to turn off your pop-up blocker. If you have added toolbars to your browser, you need to turn off the pop-up blockers in the toolbars also. See the attachment below.
Preparation for taking e-learning courses from home:
You can access sccLearn directly via the internet, so it is possible to take e-learning courses at home.
Get Approval from your manager: This includes approval to take the course and scheduling. Participation in e-learning must not result in overtime compensation.
Prepare your laptop:
You need to know your employee ID# and password: Make sure you can successfully log in to sccLearn while at work, before trying at home.
You can access sccLearn from the SCCGOV public portal. Simply search for "sccLearn" or Employee Development.
