Santa Clara County Certification, Accreditation and Credentialing

​EMT Certification

Obtaining your EMT is a three-step process. You must pass an EMT course and then take and pass the National Registry of EMTs (NREMT) computer-based exam. You then must apply for California EMT certification through a local EMS Agency.

Have you recently been hired or are you continuing employment with an approved Prehospital Care Provider in Santa Clara County? If yes, you will need to apply for an EMS System Identification Badge. Please review and complete the following:
