If you or someone in your family wants to get mental health services, call the Mental Health Call Center at 1(800)704-0900, 8:00am to 5:00pm on regular work days.
Call Center services are available in English, Spanish, and Vietnamese 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by calling 1-800-704-0900. General information, appointments, and referrals can be made available Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. After 5:00pm on weekdays and weekends/holidays, the Mental Health Call Center can be contacted regarding a mental health crisis that you or a family member might be experiencing.
Staff will talk with you to clarify what your mental health needs are. The Mental Health Call Center will link you with the appropriate mental health service, county services or referrals to community services.
The Santa Clara County Call Center is the centralized entry point for individuals who are seeking County mental health services. The primary function is to provide a 24-hour telephone service which
- screens for mental health needs,
- directs callers to programs and services that are suitable for meeting their needs, and
- authorizes Fee-for-Services Medi-Cal visits.
In addition, the Call Center provides telephone crisis intervention response to callers in an acute mental health crisis, attempting to stabilize them until a crisis counselor or other crisis services provider can intervene to provide more extensive or specialized service.
The Family and Children’s Service System of Care provides services to children and adolescents and their families who are experiencing extreme emotional distress.We address their mental health needs in the least restrictive, most family-like manner possible.
