When the ground shakes, every moment matters. What will you do?
Stay indoors…as there may be falling debris outside.
Get under a desk/table or stand against an interior wall, preferably a corner - - duck, cover, and hold.
Stay away from heavy objects that may fall.
Stay away from windows and glass.
Do not use candles, matches or other open flames during or after the earthquake…as there may be gas leaks.
Pull over to the side of the road and stop.
Avoid overpasses and power lines.
Stay inside your car until the shaking is over.
Be wary of hazards such as fallen objects, downed power lines or damaged roadways.
