Youth Youth Mediation

Last modified: 3/6/2012 4:10 PM

Youth Youth Mediation is a process whereby juveniles experiencing conflict at school or with another youth outside of school are able to come together to discuss the source of the conflict for the purpose of resolving specific issues.

For conflicts which have arisen on school grounds, the mediation is conducted at the school.  This method of conflict resolution emphasizes collaborative problem solving, and can be highly successful in resolving conflicts with large groups of students or youths.  Youth Youth mediation is an effective tool for violence prevention in the schools.
