County's Office of Human Relations and Human Relations Commission to Host 2014 Human Relations Awards

 
WHAT:
The Annual Santa Clara County Human Relations Awards honors individuals and organizations who advocate and advance human and civil rights on behalf of the residents of Santa Clara County.  Nearly 300 community and government leaders are expected to attend.
 
Evening program will feature Ron Muriera as Master of Ceremonies and performances by jazz vocalist Cheryl Scales and the San Jose Jazz High School All Stars.  A light international fare will be served.

Community Technology Alliance, Board President Mike Wasserman, District 1 Award

Santa Clara County is enriched by people from many cultural, ethnic, social and economic backgrounds. Recognizing the positive aspects of our diverse communities and their contributions helps to promote positive inter-group relations and mutual respect. Strong collaborations with these organizations contributes to our effectiveness in responding to conflict, and emerging human rights concerns.
 
Since 1973, the Human Relations Awards have honored individuals and organizations who support the mission of the Santa Clara County Human Relations Commission and the County Office of Human Relations, by advocating for the human and civil rights of Santa Clara County residents.
