County of Santa Clara to Host 2012 Lunar New Year Painting Exhibit

Display to Showcase Painting Contest Winners’ Art featuring the “Year of the Dragon” at County Government Center

WHAT:
In celebration of the 2012 Lunar New Year, the Santa Clara County, CA, USA/Hsinchu County, Taiwan Sister County Commission and the County will host an exhibit of Year of the Dragon paintings in the lobby of County Government Center, from January 23 – February 10, 2012. The Association of Northern California Chinese Schools’ Annual Painting Contest Winners’ artwork will be displayed.

WHY:
The Association of Northern California Chinese Schools has an annual painting contest. This year, the theme is the Year of Dragon. For the first time, the winners will have their paintings displayed at the County Government Center. Santa Clara County CA, USA /Hsinchu County, Taiwan Sister County Commissioners are non-paid volunteers who are committed to fostering artistic, commercial, cultural, educational, and technological exchange and understanding between the people and governments of Santa Clara County and Hsinchu County, Taiwan, Republic of China.
