The County of Santa Clara will host a community meeting on future uses of the former City of San Jose Civic Center. The purpose of this meeting is to inform the public and receive feedback about the County's objectives for the future use and development of the Civic Center.

In July 2011, the County took possession of the former City of San Jose City Hall Complex. The County will soon acquire the former Private George L. Richey, U. S Army Reserve at San Pedro and Hedding streets for a County Regional Law Enforcement Training and First Responder Readiness Center.
Since 2012, the County has been exploring opportunities to enhance service efficiency, make best use of its properties, increase revenue generation, and advance its sustainability goals.
The County is currently preparing to issue a Request for Qualifications to recruit developers to partner with the County in the process of reimagining and redeveloping the Civic Center.
