Santa Clara County Library Ready to Launch Focus on Food Program

 
WHAT:
The Santa Clara County Library District (SCCLD) will be launching the “Focus on Food” Program, which will include food demonstrations, author discussions, hands-on food preparation, health and wellness talks, as well as programs about various aspects of farming/growing food.  More than 60 exciting programs, demonstrations, workshops, author talks and other food events are scheduled for adults, teens, children, and some for the whole family.  Events are free and open to the public. No Santa Clara County Library District card is required.
 
WHO:
Presenters: Chefs (including celebrity chef and television personality, Martin Yan), authors/food writers; healthy eating and other types of food specialists from around the greater Bay area.
 
WHEN AND WHERE:
February-May, 2013
Programs and events to be held at community libraries that are members of the Santa Clara County Library District (Campbell, Cupertino, Gilroy, Los Altos, Los Altos Hills, Milpitas, Monte Sereno, Morgan Hill, Saratoga, and the SCCLD online library). 
 
WHY:
Food is an essential part of life. The Santa Clara County Library District is happy to provide useful and exciting food-focused programs for the following four months.
